Stat Lab currently has two options available for short term consultations: meeting with a statistics PhD student team, or a one-on-one consultation with a statistician. Details for both are described in the table below.
Mechanisms
| Teams of advanced graduate students | Stat Lab MS and PhD statisticians | |
|---|---|---|
| Available to | University of Arizona faculty, staff, and graduate students | University of Arizona faculty and staff*(For graduate students, presence of a faculty mentor is required) |
| Fees | FREE! | First hour free; $125/hour thereafter. Longer-term projects may be negotiated either at this fee or via Statistician FTE coverage. |
| Availability | Fall and Spring Semesters | Subject to Stat Lab statistician availability |
| Description | One-hour consultation with a team of graduate students in statistics and a Stat Lab member. Students answer questions during the session, or produce a follow-up report within approximately 2 weeks (e.g., recommendations, tutorials, power calculations, statistical analyses, etc.). | An initial meeting will be held to gain an understanding of your science and statistical needs. You will then be matched with a statistician who is a good fit for your project. |
*If you are not associated with the University of Arizona, consulting fees are determined on an individual basis, depending on scope of work and travel costs (if incurred).
