Ariam Valencia, MS

Ariam Valencia is a Computing Sciences Researcher II and Full Stack Power BI Developer for the Center for Biomedical Informatics & Biostatistics (CB2) at The University of Arizona. In this role, she designs and maintains secure, HIPAA-compliant reporting solutions that support biomedical research and institutional data initiatives.

Her work focuses on full-stack Power BI development, including data modeling, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), ETL processes, API integration, and implementation of row-level and object-level security. She collaborates with research faculty, analysts, and leadership to develop dynamic reports that streamline reporting workflows and promote data-informed decision-making.

Ariam earned her Master of Science in Data Science from Eastern University in 2021 and her Bachelor of Arts in English in 2015. She joined The University of Arizona in April 2022.

Outside of her professional work, Ariam enjoys spending time with her family, reading, learning languages, solving Sudoku puzzles, and crocheting.
