The Center for Biomedical Informatics and Biostatistics (CB2) is proud to be partnering with the informatics team at the University of New Mexico to support the informatics activities of the new Southwest Center for Advancing Clinical and Translational Innovation (SW CACTI), and to join the informatics community of the Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) consortium.

Prior to coming to the University of Arizona, CB2 Director, Dr. Justin Starren, had been a member of the CTSA informatics community since 2007 and held multiple leadership positions. He stated, “The CTSA program supports one of the largest and most robust informatics communities of any NIH program. One of my goals in coming to the University of Arizona was to get us into that community. It is great to have succeeded.”

CB2 will support the development of many informatics innovations to support translational research as part of SW CACTI.
